Just dropping in to share some salutations! I'm on the foxy tail end of what will be a 55hr week with the garden gnome you spy in the photo above. It's our last full week of summer before he starts all-day Montessori kindergarten, and the first full week without summer school or travels. I was a little concerned my brain would explode without the usual morning break to recharge, or that he'd have trouble adjusting after our two-week split. Wrong and wrong was I. Pal rolled out of bed Monday morning and has not since stopped chattering
at to me. I feel a little mom-ish in saying I'm both proud of the way he's matured this summer (so self-sufficient and inventive and reading!), and blue that he's growing away from his little bittiness. Emotions to the max when my own minis come along one day.
We've had a good week. A long week. And now, in this looong week, in this very tired moment- I hear morning feet padding down the hallway to start our day. Now is about embracing every bit of this sweet boy.
Happy weekend! I mean it.
