Punchy

Is it that sweet Saint, Mr. Valentine, sneaking up on us... or that every subatomic particle of my being is screaming for spring? Punchy pinks are doin' it for me lately. I know we're a little closer than to talk of the weather, but it's dead out there and I'm cold. Always. How many more days until that darned groundhog comes searching for his (optimistically) elusive shadow?  10, I counted. How many days until Valentine's day? 22, you're welcome. When it comes to February 14, it seems half the world harbors a grudge while the other half prances around like they've got nitrous oxide up the nose. I'm Team Cupid, my friends. Not because I'm head over heels for the nerd that made me dinner last night. In actuality, I called it quits with my high school sweetheart of 4 years a day or three before the hearty holiday. Looking back, I feel a little bit like scum. Sorry, Thomas!

I just LOVE an excuse to tell someone, "Hey- I think you're pretty stellar!"... or to sew your roommates heart-shaped pillows, or send your gal pal a handpicked bag of Haribo (with vanilla eggs and gummy teeth), or buy socks and mugs with hearts on them on day-after discount because hearts are for everyday, or to ask your pops to be your valentine (every year since you were four).

While we really don't need a designated day to do all these things, sometimes we forget on the regular days.

This pink plaid pearl-snap Wrangler shirt is making me smile with dreams of cut-off shorts and rolled up sleeves. I filched it last Fall from my brother's old bedroom.  Hashtag, I like boy clothes better.

The baby bikini? Did you just die a little bit of cuteness? I bought two of these precious itty bitties for much anticipated March girly girls. Told you I'm drunk on pink.
